Abstract
In this piece I tried to make a more 3 dimensional Wassily Kandinski piece. I started out with a 5 by 7 in photoshop with a light blue background. And this will occur for all of my other portfolio projects. Then you turn on the grid in view<show<grid and make six different layers. And on each of those layers add the inner shadow under the layer>layer style and do this for all the layers.
This piece is really similar to the top piece but this uses the outer shadow, sumo and cutout. Under the filter>brush strokes and distort. The drop shadow is also used to create the 3d effect.
In this picture you can see the outer shadows that are under the layer>layer style. Like the first one, I made different layers with the grid and kept the color the same but added the outer shadows, to create this illusional effect.
For this picture I made the background the light blue and make green squares with the rectangular marquis tool. Then I used the cut out, sponge and dry brush filter under filter>artistic.
For this I also made different layers and for every other one I used the graphic pen filter under filter>sketch.
In this piece I used the bass relief filter and then I made the middle grey. On top of that Put a blue and then I flattened the image. Then i used the chalk and charcoal filter. This creates a rain effect.
This piece was probably the most complicated of all. First on the light blue background I made a layer of dark green on the edges. And then I put splotches of green in the center. After this i put a Gaussian blur on it then i put a chalk and charcoal filter.
Press ctrl backspace and make the background a light blue. Make a brush for triangles and then make a few in a pattern, then go to filter>artistic>palette knife. This creates a 2 color vase.
For this I went to filter>stylize>extrude. I clicked level based and pyramids and click ok. After this you go back to extrude but this time you click the blocks and then you press ctrl f a few times to extrude the layer.
In this piece, I used the pen tool to make different layers and for the right i put an inner shadow and erased half of the square. For the left, i put a drop shadow and also erased the other half. Then I filled the right side with turquiose and the left with right.
